App crashes on iPadOS 18.0.x - Resolution in iPadOS 18.1

Apple introduced a known issue in iPadOS 18.0.x that caused certain apps to crash unexpectedly. This issue affected a range of apps, resulting in app instability, crashes, and freezing. However, Apple has resolved this issue in the subsequent release of iPadOS 18.1.

 

Steps to Resolve the Issue:

If you're experiencing app crashes on iPadOS 18.0.x, follow these steps to resolve the issue:

  1. Update to iPadOS 18.1:
    Ensure your iPad is running the latest version of iPadOS (18.1). To check for an update:

    • Go to Settings > General > Software Update.
    • If iPadOS 18.1 is available, tap Download and Install.

  2. Restart Your Device:
    After updating to iPadOS 18.1, it's recommended to restart your iPad to complete the update process and refresh system resources. To restart:

    • Press and hold the power button until the slider appears, then drag the slider to turn off your iPad.
    • After the device powers off, press and hold the power button again to turn it back on.
