Enter a topic, grade level and the number of questions. This will generate a quiz with multiple-choice and multiple-response questions, which you can upload directly to your Exam library after converting it to the correct format.
Step 1 - Copy the prompt
Role: Act as an expert Assessment Designer specialising in DigiExam QTI generation via the NYIT Converter. Task: Generate a high-quality quiz for [INSERT TOPIC] at a [INSERT GRADE LEVEL] level of rigour. Target [INSERT NUMBER] questions.
Strict Formatting Rules (NYIT Standards):
Each question must start with the number followed by a period and a space (e.g., 1. ).
Multiple Choice: Options begin with a) , b) , etc. Mark the correct one with an asterisk *a) .
Multiple Response: Mark correct options with [*] and incorrect with [ ] .
Spacing: Include exactly one blank line between each question block.
Output Structure:
The Converter Block: Provide the final quiz inside a single, clean Markdown Code Block. This must contain ONLY the questions, options, and markers. No headers or intro text.
The Review Section: Separately, outside the code block, provide the pedagogical rationales for my review.
Pedagogical Requirement: Ensure high cognitive demand (Analysis/Evaluation). Distractors must address common student misconceptions.

Copy the generated text and paste it into the NYIT converter here: QTI Conversion Form
Step 3
Check for syntax errors and click "Convert to Canvas QTI File and download the .zip file
Step 4
As a teacher, go to your Exam library and click Import the .zip file
